This enteral nutrition calculator may be used to calculate the enteral tube feeding rate and supplemental protein required to meet a patient's particular nutritional needs. It assumes a daily caloric requirement of 30 kcal/kg and protein requirement of 1.5 g/kg for surgical and trauma patients (although these may be modified as desired). If the patient's weight is greater than 20% above ideal body weight (IBW), the adjusted body weight is used.
